Leslie,
From what you describe, it appears that you are sending the report to screen/printer. In the preview screen you are clicking on the COPY button. Then pasting it into a word processor. When you do it this way you are copying a graphic image to Wordperfect NOT text. As you can see you can't textually edit a graphic image.
If you want to be able to edit a narrative report you need to send the report to either RTF or TXT file instead of Screen/Printer. You would then open up the entire report in Word or WordPerfect without problem. Here you can edit the text. Note however that photos in the report will not transfer to an RTF or Text document.
But if text or sentence structure needs to be corrected, why don't you correct it from within RootsMagic. This way , the next time (and everytime) you run a report in the future, the sentence structure will be the way you want it.
