Subject: [RMagic] Adding notes to Place Names & Priniting

I have to retract the statement that I made reguarding that the notes in
Place Names are not printed anywhere when added to place names. They are not
printed in most of the reports but are prinited if you do a REPORTS, LIST, PLACE
LIST, and have the box marked "Print Notes/History for each place"

Margie,

Just down the road from you.  Well maybe a little further.  In Montasano.
As far as I know you would have to add the place to someone. Then go to
the Place list and add the info in a note.  Then you could go back and remove
the place from that person. The place name would stay in the place list. As you
said the only place that note would appear is for that specific City/Town,
Township or County. I am researching my ancestors in Bedford, Bedford County,
Pennsylvania. If I knew that  Bedford County, Pennsylvania,  was split into three
different counties I would probably put my note under that County plus the
others that split off from it. Now if I had someone that lived in Bedford,
Bedford County, Pennsylvania then you are right that note would not be picked up.
None of those notes are prinited on any reports anyway so it is really just
for your information. If you did want to pass it on you would have it at your
finger tips.
