While you can't sent a Family Group Sheet to an rft file, you can copy the
FGS image and paste it into a word processor document. Note: This procedure
can be used to copy any of the graphical reports into a word processor
document.

- Display the FGS via Screen/Print output.
- Click on the Copy button at the top left of the screen (this copies the
image to the Windows clipboard)
- Open the word processor (or switch to that window) and move to the place
where you want to insert the FGS image.
- Paste the image using Edit > Paste or Ctrl+v.

If there are two or more pages for the FGS you must repeat this procedure
for each page.

You may want to play with the Report Options, i.e. turning off such things
as Blank child records to fill page, Preparer information and comments, and
Print notes, or at least enable Start notes on a new page. Note that partial
pages come into the word processor as an image of the data that is displayed
in RM, that is if only half a page is displayed in RM, then only a half page
image is pasted into the word processor.

Decode whether you want to include Sources, controlled through the
Sources... Window.

I would suggest either a) changing the fonts for Names and Events to 11
point if you will be reducing the image, or b) change the margins in RM
(Layout... Button) to match the document into which you want to insert the
image. View the resultant FGS to see which choice retains the most details,
i.e. doesn't cut off parts of place names, etc., and is readable in your
word processor output.

If you have a large number of FGS's to be copied into the word processor,
you have to decide whether this is practical or not. At present this is the
only alternative.

I have RootsMagic 3.0.4 and I would like to print some family group sheets
to an RTF file. However, RTF is not among the choices for Family Group
Sheets. Printing to a PDF file will not allow me to move the family groups
around in the document (they don't print in any logical order that I can
discern). Printing to a TXT file means losing all formatting. So, is there
any way to print to RTF?
