The preferred way is to go to the Windows Control Panel and use the Add
Remove programs.

With RootsMagic not running:
Windows Start
Control Panel
Double click "Add Remove Programs"
Scroll down and highlight RootsMagic
Click the Remove button

In some rare cases, the RootsMagic program isn't listed there for removal.
In that case you have to remove it by hand.
With Windows Explorer, navigate to the RootsMagic program folder,
Right click "RootsMagic.exe" and choose "Delete" from the drop down menu.

Put the CD in the drive and follow the prompts for installing.
The default location s the easiest, but if your previous installation
was in another folder, you should probably change
the folder for installing RootsMagic into that one.
