Robert,
If you discounted priced RM2 was merely the upgrade for having bought the RM1
then it would not have had the whole structure of RM contained within the program.
To have 2 full versions of any software running on the same system they both must
be the complete versions of the program.
Think about your Windows OS system, if you buy an upgrade you must already have
Windows installed on the computer for the upgrade to work and when you install the
upgrade the previous version is lost because it becomes the foundation for the upgrade.

I started with RM1 and got the reduced price RM2 when it came out. I
moved RM1 to it own folder and tried to install RM2 in another folder.
It found RM1 and removed it. I just assumed that having bought a
reduced priced RM2 that it wasn't allowed to co-exist with RM1. I have
since seen some indication that two different versions of RM can exist
on a machine. I would certainly understand the I would have to two
separate folders for the two RM program given that the newer version has
to restructure the database. This did not seem to be the case between
RM1 and RM2.

BTW I got the impression that one of the major efforts of RM3 was to
restructure the database to make it easier to build new features in the
future.

Could someone who had had two different versions running on the same
machine explain how it is down.
