I think one of the basic questions here is which operating system are
you using. If its Vista, there are certain problems with restoring a
database that have been discussed before on this list. I don't use
Vista so didn't pay too much attention to those comments, except to note
that Vista has a mind of its own and you need to do certain tricks to
get restores to work'.
