I also use the census for facts. On occasion there is information that does
not fit neatly into a fact that I commonly use. In those cases, I will add
it as a census note. The most common note is related to literacy and estate
and value of real estate. I also will use the number of children and living
children as a check that I have the names of all children in the household.
If there is a discrepancy, I will note it as a item for further research.
