With Rm you can do multiple databases so why merge if not sure. You can merge when proof is in. It is harder to split sometimes than merge.
When you get them side by side you can look for a match. It might be many generations back, but would duplicate some ancestors if not found first.

I was about to set up a separate database to enter information I have
collected on a branch that I can't prove belongs to my family, but strongly
suspect that they do. I am now wondering if I enter them in my main (only)
database, is there is a way to designate the new people as "provisional" or
in some way show I'm not sure they are related to me?



I would appreciate any suggestions on how to best accomplish this. I am
using RM4, latest version.
