I use both methods. If I am working on a project that is way off my line
I definitely keep separate databases. I must have about 50 different
ones where I help others. If there are a few possible relatives that
MIGHT be members of my personal tree I keep them as separate trees in
the same database. It all works.
Interesting though, I can't separate my husband's line from mine. There
are too many marriages that link together. Now there is no way to find
all the connections!
