Linda, I used F-Prot for many years when I ran Windows computers. They
are a very responsive company and when advised of false positives, they
very quickly issue updates to fix the problem. They also release
updated virus definitions several times a week, so you should definitely
make sure your copy of F-Prot is set to automatically download updated
definitions at least once a week if not more often (if you have a
broadband connection, I suggest you have the program check for updates
daily).

I never doubted the software itself but wanted to be sure the file name hadn't been hijacked by a virus writer in order to make a malware file appear innocuous. The f-prot web page Bruce referred me to will be useful in the future and Jon's instructions for excluding the file and reinstalling RM4 worked perfectly. I appreciate the time and effort both of you devote to helping less experienced RM4 users like me.
