As far as I know, RM is a single user application, so you couldn't run the
single copy/install of RM from more than computer at a time.

Subject: [RMagic] RootsMagic on a network drive?
I'm sure this question has probably already been asked and answered in the
past. But I was never really wondering about this before now.
It is possible and permissible to install RootsMagic to one's home network?
Like many folks, I have a desktop, notebook, netbook, an old notebook and my
husband's notebook on our network. The first one is the only one wired, the
others are wireless. For all the years I've used RM, I've always kept the RM
program itself and database, plus photos and my email program on a separate
external 120 mb portable drive and plugged into whichever computer I am
using. I'm the only one using the programs. (It won't update on the portable
drive without a copy of the program on the hard drive. But I just don't use
the hard drive program copy for anything else other than to update the
portable drive copy.)
Life would be simpler amongst these computers if I can install RM, et al, to
a home network server and use it on whichever computer I am using at the
time. Then I would like to be able to use RM-TO-GO with the data (no photos)
on a flash drive, like this feature is intended to be used. Has anyone else
done this? Bruce, is it permissible to install RM to one's home network
server as long as there is only one user?
