Irish RC churches today are usually known by location rather than by
their Saint's or other name although of course they have those names.
Even in big cities they are often today more commonly known by the name
of the area or the road. However in church records of the nineteenth
century the Saint's name are often used if there is more than one church
in the parish or more than one parish in the town.

Nancy, when I looked at the Catholic parish map at
http://www.leitrim-roscommon.com/MAPS/ros_rcpar.html it says the
church
is Loughglynn (Lisacul). My grandfather was also from the Tibohine
Civil District and his church was Tibohine (Fairymount). the
leitrim-roscommon web site has lots of great information. If you
haven't been there it is a good place to browse.

records are on microfilm from Salt lake but the name of the church isn't
in it.
