Have completed (if ever completed ?) McKay Book, a 4.5 yr labor of love.
"Our" Alexander b 1800, Urray, appears on FHC film as son of Alexander McKay
(1770-)Urray & Jean Fraser, Tarradale. The latter Alex. appears as son of
Alexander McKay & Mary Gilmer.
"Our" Alexander's siblings (re: FHC):

John-1798-Urray;
ALEX-1800 (m Catharine McLennan, 1806-) Dec 1828 Urray, both d Ont. 1887.
William 1802-, Kirkhill;
James 1806- Inverness;
Mary 1808-Inv.;
Janet 1810-Inv.;
Jean 1813-Inverness.

This is the only record of an Alex. b 1800 in R/C so we believe it pertains
to our Alex.

Question: Is anyone searching the siblings ? We hit brick walls searching
m's/d's.

Alex and Catharine's daughter Frances (according to family lore) was b in
Redcastle, R/C c1837, son Alex b c1839 "b Strathvaich, Parish of Contin" (on
gravestone in Ont.)Both d Ont. Family emigrated in 1841 to Ontario.
