Hi Don,
What dates are you speaking of? Also where is Balblair?

In my files I have a Margaret ROSS b abt? who m. John McKOUNE
sometime, somewhere. I haven't found their marriage yet as I haven't
checked the OPR fiche so just have the dates and places submitted to
the IGI by someone.
>From the IGI they had a (2nd?) son Hugh McKOUNE 13 May 1749 at Port
Of Monteith, Perthshire and their 1st son may have been a James b.24
Feb. 1743 at Port of Menteith, both of those entries do not have C
batch #s so could be 'made up' people

I also have another ROSS family, William ROSS and Mary ROBB who m.
14 Jan 1766 Boleskine, Invernesshire M110922. Some of their
children look like the ROSSes who were at Dunbartonshire, Greenock
and Glasgow abt. 1850. Then in 1866 another William ROSS and
another Mary ROBB, had a son Robert ROSS 4 Nov 1862 at High Church,
Glasgow C119181.

My connection is with Jean/Jane ROSS b. abt 1780 who married a
George McONIE (my name) and had children at Port of Menteith from
1802-1823. I also do not have their marriage but they could be the
Jane ROSS who m. George McCOWIE (sic) 04 Dec 1801 at Glasgow
M119743.

Not much help to you but perhaps you have seen those people along
the way when looking for your ROSSes?
