Wondered if you had been to this site: www.multimap.com - you can
search "Clachan"....
Also Did you try searching on www.google.com ?
I had some time and entered both 'Durinish' (Careful as there is one on Skye
too)and 'Clachan'...There are a number of Inns etc by this name but if you
have time to scroll thru the lists, you'll find the area (a couple of
photos) that you are looking for.
Have you searched familysearch for the marriage of Janet = Duncan?

My relatives in R&C were: My ggg grandparents were from Stornoway. Donald
Macaulay was the father of Annabella (B. abt 1810) who married Kenneth
MORRISON (b. abt 1802). They married in 1833.
I just thought that I would try to help you, as this list has very
little activity and I had a bit of time!
