Hello Again
The reason that I am interested in a reference to PLEA ROLLS is that I found them mentioned in a document regarding a church in Staffordshire. The actual quote is "the first mention of a church is in the Plea Rolls in 1270. I believe that the knid people who have sent me the answer to my question may be correct but I still don't understand why a church was mentioned. Any suggestions would be most welcome.
