things for "free" at the National Achive I would like to know what this
entry says besides:

ALEXANDER MCLEOD Born NIGG, Ross and Cromarty Served in 71st Foot Regiment
Discharged aged 43
1797-1817 (I believe this Alexander McLeod is one of my ancestors)

I would like to know birth date and anything that helps break the brickwall.
