Earl Kindsfater
Earl Herman Kindsfater, 60, of Sacramento, Calif., formerly of Greeley, died
Thursday, March 22, at North Colorado Medical Center. He was born Dec. 11,
1940, in Windsor to Herman and Helen (Winder) Kindsfater. On Dec. 16, 1961,
he married Shirley Croissant in Greeley. They later divorced. Mr. Kindsfater
grew up and was educated in Eaton, where he helped on the family farm. He
graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in animal
science. In 1985, he moved to Sacramento, where he worked for Boehringer
Ingelheim, an animal health company. Mr. Kindsfater loved the farm and ranch
where he raised cattle. He enjoyed watching his grandsons show cattle. His
grandchildren and cattle were his life. He was a life member of Greeley Elks
Lodge No. 809. Survivors are a daughter, Tammy Anderson of Eaton; a son,
Randy Kindsfater of Tacoma, Wash.; his mother, Helen Kindsfater of Greeley;
a brother, Roy Kindsfater of Scottsdale, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Cooper
and Tanner Anderson of Eaton and Taylor and Dawson Kindsfater of Tacoma; a
nephew, Major Kindsfater of Phoenix and his former wife, Shirley McArdle of
Federal Way, Wash. His father died Oct. 10, 2000. A sister-in-law, Lenore
Kindsfater, also is deceased. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Our
Savior’s Lutheran Church. Cremation. Friends may visit from 4-8 p.m. Monday
at Adamson Memorial West Chapel. Contributions may be made to the Earl
Herman Kindsfater Memorial Fund in care of the West Chapel, 2000 47th Ave.,
Greeley, CO 80634.
