Lydia Cook, 86, of Ashford, Wash., formerly of
Loveland and Windsor, died Wednesday, Aug. 11, at Good
Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, Wash.
She was born July 11, 1918, in Loveland to Conrad and
Catherine (Harding) Wagner.
On March 6, 1940, she married Leonard P. Cook in
Loveland. He died July 11, 1994.
Mrs. Cook grew up in Loveland, where she attended
schools. She and her husband farmed in Weld and
Larimer counties. They lived in Windsor for 20 years.
They farmed until 1969, when they moved to Denver.
They later moved to Loveland. In 1995, she moved to
Washington to be near her sons.
Survivors are a daughter and son-in-law, Marion and
Ted Koolstra of Kimball, Neb.; two sons and
daughters-in-law, Lynn and Jean Cook of Yelm, Wash.,
and Allen and Debra Cook of Sevierville, Tenn.; a
sister, Clara Stauffer of Commerce City; 11
grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Two
sisters, Helen Nolde and Pauline Erdman, and five
brothers, Carl, Fred, Albert, Joe and Robert Wagner,
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of
Christ, 4100 S. Taft Ave., Loveland. Interment will be
in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Fort Collins.
Friends may visit from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Adamson
Memorial Downtown Chapel, 827 5th St., Greeley.
