Harry Riffel, 90, former Fort Morgan resident, died Wednesday at his home in
San Jose, Calif.

Riffel was born Nov. 7, 1915, in Fort Morgan to Jacob and Anna Riffel. In
1938 he married Ann Schlothauer in Fort Morgan.

Prior to retirement, he was a national sales manager for Peterbilt Motors.
His wife died May 21, 1970. In 1972, he married Evelyn Carey. He loved to
fish and could fix anything that was broken. He was good with his hands and
loved to do woodwork.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn of San Jose; two daughters, Judy Russell
of Kissimmee, Fla., and Debbie Riffel of Redwood City, Calif.; two brothers,
Jake Riffel and Bob Riffel; and one sister, Sadie Hand.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruth Wagner, Marion Wacker and
Clara Loose; and his parents.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Heer & Jolliffe
Mortuary. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.



The Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary & Crematory in Fort Morgan is entrusted with
the cremation arrangements.
