Leah Rusch

May 29, 1910-Oct. 21, 2006

Age: 96

Residence: Garden Square Westlake, Greeley

Tribute: Leah Weber Maul Rusch was born in Sugar City to Jacob and Anna
Marie (Braun) Weber.

On March 15, 1936, she married August Maul in Fort Lupton. He died in 1944.
On June 23, 1951, she married Henry Rusch in Greeley. He died in 2001.

Mrs. Rusch was employed at Bake Rite Bakery in Greeley for many years. She
retired, and she and husband spent a great deal of time in the mountains.
She enjoyed the activities at the Greeley Senior Activity Center and the
assisted living facility where she lived since 1997. She especially enjoyed
polka dancing with her husband, Henry.

Mrs. Rusch was a member of the senior center, St. John's United Church of
Christ and the retired senior volunteer program.

Mrs. Rusch died Saturday at the Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern
Colorado inpatient unit in Greeley.

Survivors: A daughter, June Petersen and husband Clarence Brown of Eaton; a
son, Ken L. Maul and wife Jan of Las Vegas, Nev.; stepdaughter, Gladys Geist
and husband Mel of Gould; a stepson, Hubert L. Rusch and wife Marge of
Greeley; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a
great-great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by: Her husbands; her parents; four brothers, Jacob,
Chris, John and William Weber; and five sisters, Esther Weber, Emma
Schlagel, Lydia McDonald, Freida Bakel and Pauline Lenhart.

Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Adamson Memorial West Chapel.

Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Greeley.

Visitation: 4-7 p.m. Monday at the West Chapel.

Reception: Adamson Memorial West Chapel following graveside services.
