Ladies,

I have information on all of these families (and more) as they are my direct ancestors. Please email me directly with specific questions and I will look in my database, books, wall charts, and reference materials.

Leona, to answer your questions concerning the Pleve charts -

Unless you specifically indicate that you want ALL lines of the family researched and which village(s), Dr. Pleve's quote for cost and time will be only for your direct ancestor line. You also need to indicate whether or not you want research done in other villages if any of the children relocated.

The research will go as far back as the records that are available and typically into the early 1900's (unless otherwise indicated by you). Again, much of the research is predicated on availability and access to records.

After you have received your quote from Dr. Pleve, you will need to send your deposit ($250.00 a few years ago though this may have changed) to Dick Krause (he took over this function from Arthur Flegal) so he can deposit it into an account for Dr. Pleve. You then wait..... Once the chart is ready you will be notified by Dick of your remaining balance and after he has received payment he will send you your chart. As far as who will get the chart if anything should happen to you, well I'm not certain but I'm pretty sure that if you have any concerns in that regard then you could probably make arrangements with Dick to have a relative responsible for payment and receipt of the chart.

This information you receive is in the form of a handwritten wall chart so any data would have to be manually input into your computer. You will also get as many zerox copies of church records etc. as possible. Whenever I get a new chart I always take it to Kinkos and have it saved to disk. I then get a couple of working copies printed to use for input into my genealogy program and to do look-ups on at a later date.

Are any of you going to the convention in Casper this summer? If so we should plant to meet as it seems we all have many common ancestors. Maggie, I do believe that we met at the Frank Village night in Lincoln a couple of years ago though we didn't really exchange andy information then.

Happy Hunting....
