My husband's grandfather came to America in about 1894 and somehow the name
was changed to Sharkey by the 1900 Census. He was of Lithuanian/Russian
descendant. Can anyone suggest what Sharkey would have been spelled like in
Russian/Lithuanian? I presume it may have had an "SKI" on the end but so
far many spellings have been tried to no avail either through naturalization
or in entering the US through any port.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
