I am totally and completely lost . . . I am looking for the correct name for one:
Fred Tarefim MECHILL on his death certificate dated 1963 from North Dakota USA
Fred Mitchell on the 1930 census records for McLean, ND and who knows what it might have been coming through Ellis Island in 1916!! We can't find records because we have no clue about the spelling!!

Per the information that I have:
he was born April 24, 1893 in Minsk, Belarus, Russia
his name may have been something like Michalski or Michellowski or who knows what variants!!
He emigrated to the USA in 1913
He was naturalized on April 21, 1942

He married Annie Sloboden born and raised in Washburn, McLean Cty, North Dakota USA

Their elder children were named MITCHELL
the two youngest boys are MECHILL, and it is said that the spelling change happened when he was naturalized.

What I am looking for is some way to determine whether there may be cousins in Russia as there are plans to visit there and would love to be able to meet relatives!!

Thank you, Jeanine
