Okay Everyone take a look!! I dug out all of my old files to find all of
this.
Item 1 is a copy of Minutes of Probate Court.
Item 2 Is a copy of a will that Mary Rutledge left.
Item 3 is what I have in my data base. I believe some of the children for
Joseph and Mary may be wrong.

Petition for Probate of Will --- "… Wm. T. McAllister as administrator
Adcolligendum of the estate of Mary Rutledge …filed his petition ….said
descedent left surviving her the following named children and their
decendants, to wit: her son Perry W. Rutledge, resides in Perry Co., Al.,
Phillip S. Rutledge aged about fifty years , won of decendent and resides in
South Carolina, Pascal Rutledge, son of decendent aged about forty eight years
and resides in California, W. C. Rutledge aged about 29 years, Minnie Aners
aged about twenty six years who are the children of James Rutledge, son of
decedent and who resides in the town of Ripley in the State of Mississippi,
Henry C. Johnson age about 24 years of age and resides at Little Rock in the
State of Arkansas, Lewis M. Johnson, aged 21 years and resides in Marion,
Perry County, AL both of whom are children of Mary L. Johnson, formerly Mary
L. Rutledge a daughter of Testatrix - Edward R. Sondheim aged 19 years and
resides in Perry Co., AL., Mary Sondheim aged 14 and resides in Ripley in the
State of MS, Pauline Sondheim aged about 11 years and resides at Ripley in the
State of MS who are the children of Elizabeth Sondheim, who was a daughter of
Testatrix…….."

Bef. 1870 in Greenville Co., SC. He married MARY PASCHAL Abt. 1769 in VA.

!OTHER:It is possible that Joseph Rutledge, Sr is the son of James Rutledge
and Sarah of Amelia Co., VA. Sarah died prior to 1747 and James apparently
married Mary Rutledge, widow of Thomas Rutledge of Amelia Co., VA. (Deed Bk 2,
Amelia Co., VA 1742-1747, 975.501 Am 3 d) They owned land between Bush River
and Sandy River.
