Abstracted for genealogical materials.

-SEWELL, Joseph, in 1932 was 79, born Howard Co MD 1753; enlisted Wilkes Co
NC 1 Apr 1775; moved 1785 to Carter Co TN and abt 30 yrs later to Cumberland
Co.
SCOTT, John, was 68 in 1829; served with Solomon PREWITT and Joshua
-WATSON, the latter having mrried a sister (Nancy MURRY)to his wife, Sofa
Murry SCOTT.
-WEBB, Moses said in 1818 he was in Gen. GREEN's army in 1777 with John
EMMERSON.
-RUTLEDGE, Joseph in 1830 was 81, was from Surry Co NC.
-McBEE, Isaac was 76 in 1840; born Halifax Co VA; enlisted Green Co NC; came
to Cumb. Co in 1803.
-SELF, John was 70 in 1832; born Amelia Co VA; came to KY in 1798 and to
Cumb. Co in 1809.
-THURMAN, Charles was 62 in 1820, enlisted in Henrico Co VA 1777 and served
with John SCOTT, Philip LAWSON, John R THURMEN and William SMITH.
-WILLIAMS, James was 70 in 1833; born Sullivan Co VA; came to Cumb Co 1802;
served 1812-1814 in War of 1812; went to Wayne Co in 1801.
-WADE, Richard was 81 in 1833; born Goochland Co VA; moved to Madison Co KY
and then to Wayne Co in 1801.
-WILLIAMS, Thomas was 79 in 1833; born Brunswick Co VA; came to Cumb. Co in
1813.
-WHITTAKER, William was 74 in 1832; born Burnsville, NC.
-CHAPMAN, John was 70 in 1832; born Halifax Co; served under Joshua POWELL 3
years.
-FIELDS, Benjamin was 76 in 1832; born Culpeper Co VA; md Mildred SLAUGHTER
after coming to KY.
-WILLIAMS, Hardin was 68 in 1833; b SC; came to Cumb Co in 1803 and married
Jane HART.
-WRIGHT, Joseph was 80 in 1832; born Fredrick Co MD; moved to TN, then to
Cumb Co in 1812. Had 2 brothers - Joshua and James. (Joseph Wright died in
Clinton Co in 1843.)
-AMYX, Matthew was examined in 1827 by Joel OWSLEY and Michael l STONER for
his services.
-CARY, William was 77 in 1832; b Chesterfield Co VA; moved to Clayborn Co TN
in 1808 and to Cumb. Co in 1829.
