I use HotDog. I have a 4.56 and a 5.something, but I use the older version
most often - maybe I just like it 'cause I've used it for more than 3 years
and am used to it. The first one I used was downloaded on a 30 day trial
that self destructed. Then I bought a 200 series which I used for a long
time - till I got Windows 95 and could upgrade to the fancier version. The
500 series has PaintShop Pro built in. The 4.56 uses some of the same
files as Family Tree Maker, so I get error messages, but they both still
work. One of the reasons I like HotDog is the hot wired commands, such as

and
and the ease of making targets - without having to think!
I can't see why Y2K would have anything to do with HotDog not working.
