Thurmon & all,
It may be helpful for you to know that the 2 Westfield record messages
that I sent were originally in a 9 point font. Lesson learned!

Regarding the death of William, I see on my extraction work papers that
I had made a note to recheck the 1706 date, which I will do later next
week, although I suspect that Weygant's date is the true one, regardless
of what is given in Book A.

Another date to comment on, is the marriage date of John Sacket & his
second wife, widow Mehitable (Danks) Harris. On page 23 of Book A, the
year is listed as "173#", with the # being written in superscript.
173-anything is clearly incorrect -- the date published by Weygant (as
well as in N.E.H.G.R. 72:342), May 17, 1702, is probaby right.

It should be noted that, according to an inscription on the first
written page in Book A, record keeping in Book A did not begin until
1712. The book does not explain how/where the Town Clerk obtained the
earlier names & event dates.

If you find any other glitches, let me know & I will try to check them
out before the film goes back.
Ted
