I received the pictures Don sent in today's mail.

I have scanned them and used every manipulation I can think of and cannot get the last number to show up clear enough to determine exactly what it is. As can be seen in the photo that Fred Sackett has on the Sackett Headstones website, there is a dark stain over that portion of the headstone. It looks as though some time in the past someone has used chalk in an effort to make the number readable. The most obvious conclusion would be that it is a zero; with the other possibilites being a 3 or a 6.

Don said in his note that Fred is planning on making a return vist to the cemetery to see if he can determine what the number is.

So, as the popular phrase of our time says: "Maybe we will get closure on this" before long.

Our greatest mistake could be
worrying that we will make one.
