Hi Sackett Searchers:
While checking for what information I could find for the Richard Sackett and J. Sackett, who were buried at Andersonville, I found another Sackett from IN who was buried in GA during the Civil War:Marietta National Cemetery, Marietta, Cobb County, Georgia* Records with an asterisk at the end indicates those that have not been verified by the U.S. Department of Veterans' Affairs. Sackett, William P, d. 07/08/1864, SGT D 97 IND INF, Orig Bur Stegalls Sta, Ga, Plot: H-8572, *-------Information I received from Eugene Venne indicates that he was a son of 1203-Nathan Sackett and Martha Daukin.
