I must have listed it wrong. Maria was born in 1772, married in 1794.
What a difference that makes, huh?

By the marriage records you list, Polly/Mary and Richard are
comtemporaries.
Richard could not be her father. Richard and Chloe were married a year
(1771) before Polly/Mary and Eldad (1772). :}

In searching for Eldad Skinner, a very unique name if I must say so
myself,
I found the following on SACKETT-L's Previously Subscribed page. What
goes
round, comes round! LOL!!!

Lauren John in MN is researchng Maria SACKETT
who
m. Eldred/Eldad SKINNER They had daughter Caroline SKINNER b. 11 Feb 1797
Conn., d. 1884 Tama Co., IA. Caroline m. Salmon BIDWELL 5 Aug 1818. Salmon
died in Conn. Subbed and Unsubscribed March 1999.

You've probably seen this, but JIC you haven't, I've included it above.


I've found that Bolton, Connecticut is in Tolland County. Tolland did not
exist until 1785 by the maps at:
http://www.negenealogy.com/ct/ct_maps/ct41.htm

Never give up! I'd continue to search for sacket/sackett and skinner in
Windham and Hartford, Conn., if I were you.

I gotta move on now. I hope we find you related to John, The Colonist
someday!! I feel it but I can't prove it! :}
