The short answer is that, as far as I know, we have not found the surname of
Hannah who married Jonathan Sackett. For longer answers/comments, see below.

Surname not known. Weygant p28 gives only Hannah ---.

I suspect this refers to John Sackett s. Thomas Sackett the younger & Martha
(Strowde) Sackett. This John (not Joseph) was bap. 9 Jan 1585/86 at St
Peter's Church, Thanet. He was the brother of Simon Sackett the colonist. St
Peter is not in Birchington. Each of these is a separate parish, both in
Thanet.

I suspect this is a recording error from Weygant p14 where he states that
John Sackett Jr died 3 Sep 1684. The John b. 1585/86 is not the John of the
1684 death.

I think I've seen this error before. Sarah Dennison m. Joseph Sackett (s. of
John Sackett of New Haven & Agnes (Tinkham) Sackett) on 18 May 1710 at New
Haven. Weygant p29 has the same m. date but gives the name incorrectly as
Hannah Denison. We have no evidence of there having been another Sarah or
Hannah Den(n)ison who might have married the alleged senior John Sackett.
The incorrect assigning of this marriage to this John may have given rise to
the confusion about whether he was John or Joseph.

Birth probably about 1628 and almost certainly in Thanet, Kent. Bristol was
the port of embarkation of Simon the colonist (and his brother??), not the
place of birth.

I would be interested in the source(s) of the data on Agnes Tinkham. Have
the marriage from Hew Haven Vital Records and the death date from Savage and
Weygant, but nothing about her birth or her parents.

I have a death date for Jonathan of 4 Feb 1726/27 but cannot now find where
this came from. Anyone have any information on this?

Jonathan's & Hannah's children were born in about the period 1676 to 1684,
so best estimate of Hannah's birth date is 1655 - same as Jonathan's.
