I had the same thought when I read the census info Louella sent. But
when I checked for the location of Cohocton, NY I found that it is only
about 10 miles from Naples, Ontario Co., NY. And I have run across the
problem of ages of individuals being reported wrong in the census before.
If you check the census info for Zelotas I have posted you will see that
there was a previous census in which the age bracket for him was off by
10 years.
So, I wouldn't cout him out as being the one in this census. Especially
when he had such unique name.
