Hello Sackett Searchers,

I know it is the last few days before Christmas but I keep running across
little details I need help with.

Working with one of the "orphan lines" I have found a possibility for making
a connection and clearing up a little mystery. For the family of Nathaniel
B. Sackett who first appears in the 1850 census for Chester, Dodge Co., WI;
1860 census for Alto, Fond du Lac Co., WI and the 1870 and 1880 census for
Pleasant Grove, Olmsted Co., MN.

Researchers of this line believe that Nathaniel B. Sackett had a daughter;
Olive, or Martha, who married a man by the name of Lambert. One source has
his name as Henry Lambert, born 1838 in England. Henry Lambert is supposed
to have married his Sackett bride on 16 Apr 1860 in Ripon, Fond du Lac Co.,
WI. Their first daughter, Olive, was born 18 Sep 1861 in the same place and
a second daughter, Mary C. born c1863 in WI. By 1868 the family was in MN
[-probably Pleasant Grove, Olmsted Co.] where they had a third daughter
born; viz., Ella. A fourth daughter, Winnie, was born in MN in 1872/1873.

It appears that between the birth of Winnie and the 1880 census that
Olive/Martha (Sackett) Henry died. This is concluded from the fact that in
that before census the daughter, Olive, had married James Harvey Collins and
one of Olive's sisters is enumerated in the household:

The other two daughters of Henry Lambert and Olivek'Martha were enumerated

The only Henry Lambert I could find in the LDS transcriptions of the 1880a
census is Possibly Henry, a widower:

Now, for those with access to the census online ... It would help if we
could find the Henry Lambert family, or a Lambert family which would match,
in the 1860 census for Fond du Lac Co., WI and the 1870 census for Olmsted
Co., MN.

With best wishes for a very enjoyable Christmas,
Thurmon
