If anyone can make a connection here, I'm sure we'd all be interested! I believe I've seen a
reference to a Sallee being with Jean LaFitte's pirate group during LaFitte's alliance with
Andrew Jackson's army in the Battle of New Orleans (1815), but apparently he wasn't one
of the Huguenot Manakintown descendants.
