Not related to the original message, but I have a question for you Ed Sims.

My grandfather was (Arthur Sampson, born 1890). His father was something approaching Jesse C. Sampson. We believe he settled in Marshall County Tennessee. I thought that "Jesse C" was just too similar to your "James C" for me to not inquire.

Other possibly useful info: Jesse C was married to Sally Thomas Reynolds. We believe Jesse was born in the late 1850s however.
