Bejamin Sanders (1788-1860) was my great-great grandfather. I live about an
hour's drive north of Lincoln Co., TN and hope to find his grave one of
these days soon. His son John Hill Sanders (1825-1900) was born in NC,
lived for several years in Alabama (where my grandfather Willie)was born and
died in Johnson Co., Ark, near Horsehead Lake.

I thank you Justin for what you are doing.

Great job, Justin!! BTW, somehow my husband's earliest male ancestor's name
did not get through to you. His direct line, well documented, goes back to
Nahum Sanders b. abt 1740 place unknown. Nahum was first found in Granville
Co., NC in 1766 as witness to a land transaction.

One of Nahum's male descendants was Benjamin, b. abt 1788 in Stokes Co.,
NC and who moved to St. Clair, AL in the mid-1800's. He died in Lincoln
Co., TN after 1860. Wonder if your Benjamin and Nahum's Benjamin knew each
other while in Alabama?
