1. Name: Bill Cuff
2. E-mail address:
3. Reason for subscribing to list: potential source for obtaining
additional
information on Sanders ancestry.
4. Suggestion(s): none beyond those already offered by others.
5. Most wanted ancestors: parents of three SAUNDERS brothers born in
Connecticut (place unknown): Edward (1826), George R. (1839) and J.P.
(?). Edward subsequently
moved to Virginia, married Lucy Ann MARKS in 1850 and had issue: George
A. (1851),
Benjamin (1852), Elnora N. (1858), Robert Lee (c1862), Samuel H. (c1866)
and
Emmet J. (c1871).
Edward and Lucy lived at various times in Chesterfield, Prince George
and
Charles City counties, VA.
It does not appear that George R. and J.P. moved to VA with their older
brother. Rather, it is thought that they remained in CT -- or elsewhere
in the
North -- and one is likely ancestor of Chester SANDERS, who lived in
Scarsdale, NY,
and founded the Red Star Towing Co. of NYC in the 1930's.
