Dear fellow Sanders,

In the 1790 census of NC there are 112 Sanders listed, no wonder there
are Sanders everywhere you look.

Among these 112 Sanders there were two men named Joseph. One lived in
Hillsborough Dist. of Randolph Co. with 3 boys under 16 and 5 females.
The other was in Newbern Dist. Jones County with 1 boy under 16 and 4
females.

There was only one Samuel listed. He lived in Newbern Dist. Carteret
County with 3 males over 16, 3 males under 16, 4 females and 4 slaves.

I don't know where Samuel (Montgomery Co., KY) was by 1790, but I would
guess that he was already in KY.

With all of these Sanders already spread out in NC and who knows how
many thoughout the new world it will be very difficult to find our
needles in the haystacks.

One thing that will help is this Sanders Family on the internet. Another
is our steadfast desire to put all the pieces together. The stories put
together with what someone else knows could help us to solve the
mysteries. I don't care if you repeat what you know over and over,
sometimes that's what it takes to click.

My Joshau Sanders came from Ky in the early 1800's, he and his wife
"Peggy" and settled in Washington Co. MO as early as 1815. He then
appears in Crawford Co. in 1830 (that County being formed from parts of
Wash. Co. they might not have fiscally moved, but the county lines
changed). They raised a family of at least 3 children, John, James and
Mary Thompson, Campbell. James md. Elizabeth Hudspeth which is my line.
Yvonne's line is Mary so we are cousins and we found each other here on
the internet.

I was so sure we had found Joshua's parents in Edmonson County, KY, but
alas it wasn't so. Then we would have been Doyle's cousin too.

Happy Holidays

Sal
