There is a bio about the Gen., but some of the information is false, or cannot
be proven as of yet. He claimed that he was related to Sam HOUSTON, but from
the information I have of his HOUSTON line, it doesn't look like it connects
with Sam. The LEE lines I'm STILL trying to connect to the emigrant Richard
LEE, the founder of the Virginia LEE family. If anyone has any information I
don't have, PLEASE let me know!

First Generation

1. Claire Lee CHENNAULT b. 6 Sep 1893 in Commerce, TX, d. 27 Jul 1958 in New
Orleans, LA. He married 24 Dec 1911 in Winsboro, LA to Nell THOMPSON (no data
available on her parents). Nell was born 11 Jan 1893 in Colliston, LA and d.
Nov 1977 in Waterproof, LA. They had the following children: John Stephen (m.
Irene ?), Max Thompson (married Anne ?), Charles Lee, Peggy Sue (m. Robert
LEE), Claire Patterson (m. Hilma KEYES), David Wallace, Robert Kenneth and
Rosemary Louise. (I did not include birthdates because I'm not sure which ones
are still alive, and I only have a few tentative dates). Chennault remarried
in the 1940s to Anna CHEN. They had two daughters: Claire Anna and Cynthia
Louise. I have no other information about these girls. Mrs. Anna CHENNAULT was
mentioned in a book about the Watergate Hotel.

Second Generation

2. John Stonewall CHENNAULT b. 2 Jun 1862 in Rayville, LA, d. 9 Aug 1942 in
Gilbert, LA. He married 7 Dec 1892 in Franklin Parish, LA to Jessie LEE.
CHENNAULT remarried to Lottie BARNES in 1903, she died about 1910.
3. Jessie LEE (d/o William Wallace LEE & Rashel "Josephine" GILBERT) was born
30 Aug 1876 in Franklin Parish, LA, she died 28 Mar 1901 in Gilbert, LA. They
had the following children: Claire Lee & W. S. (b. Apr 1897 in LA according to
the 1900 Census).

Third Generation

4. Stephen Nelson CHENNAULT b. 19 Feb 1834 in Nashville, TN, d. 21 Apr 1871
in Rayville, LA. He married 18 Feb 1855 in Franklin Parish, LA to Frances
Norcussis THOMASON.
5. Frances Norcussis THOMASON (d/o John Diamond THOMASON & Demeries BROTHERS)
was born 15 Dec 1834 in Huntsville, AL, she died 12 Nov 1913 in Rayville, LA.
I have 3 children for them: Laura Melissa (b. 25 Apr 1858 in Rayville, m.
Benjamin Roscoe SOREY), John Stonewall & Stephen Nelson (b. 14 Aug 1867, m.
Fannie HARLAN).

6. William Wallace LEE b. 3 Jun 1836 in Wilkes Co, GA, d. 8 Dec 1911 in
Franklin Parish, LA. LEE first married Florence BEAMAN in Stewart Co, GA
before the Civil War. They had three children: Henry Beaman, Florence (m. Joe
PATTERSON) & Eula (m. George THORNTON). They moved to Mississippi in 1851.
When LEE returned from the Civil War, the town was ravaged and his wife was
dead. He moved to Franklin Par, LA and started a medical practice there. He
married in 1872 to Rashel "Josephine" GILBERT.
7. Rashel "Josephine" GILBERT (d/o Thomas GILBERT & Louisa A. GUICE) was born
7 Apr 1837 in Franklin Parish, LA, she died 3 Sep 1904 in Franklin Parish, LA.
They had the following children: Claire (b. abt 1873, d. abt. 1891), Louise
(b. abt. 1875, m. Joseph B. CHASE), Jessie (b. 30 Aug 1876, m. John Stonewall
CHENNAULT).

Fourth Generation

8. John Nelson CHENNAULT b. 27 Nov 1792 in Columbia Co, GA, d. abt. 1864 in
Little Rock, AR. He married Hannah Elizabeth SANDERS.
9. Hannah Elizabeth SANDERS (no data known on her parents) was born 2 Jun
1812 in Kentucky, she died between 1864 and 1869 in Little Rock, AR. They had
the following children: Stephen Nelson, Abraham, Morris, Christopher Columbus,
Anne (m. William BUSTER), Elizabeth, Nancy, Jane & James.

10. John Diamond THOMASON b. 28 Dec 1806 in Marietta, GA, d. 26 Nov 1874 in
Rayville, LA. He married in 1826 in Benton, GA to Demeries BROTHERS.
11. Demeries BROTHERS (no data known on her parents) was born 26 Dec 1808 in
Cabarrus Co, NC, she died 19 Nov 1860 in Rayville, LA. They had the following
children: William Patton (b. 14 Dec 1827, m. Ferriby Eliz. ILER), John Houston
(b. 31 May 1830, d. 1863), James Joshua (b. 18 Oct 1832, m. Mary CHENNAULT),
Frances Norcussis, David Crockett (b. 1836), Melissa Hannah (b. 12 Feb 1839,
m. James C. PRICHARD), Minerva Catherine, Harriet (b. 1843, m. Joseph D.
SIMS), Amandah (b. 1845) & Mary (b. 1847, m. John E. PINETTE).

12. Henry Bryan LEE b. 15 Mar 1804 in NC, d. 5 Apr 1891 in Scott County, MS.
He married 18 Jun 1828 in Wilkes Co, GA to Margaret B. LEE.
13. Margaret B. LEE (d/o James LEE & Nancy FOSTER) was born 27 May 1813 in
Wilkes Co, GA, she died 24 Feb 1883 in Scott County, MS. They had the
following children: James (b. abt 1829, m. Jane H. DENSON), Susan (b.1832, m.
James L. HOUSE, James A. ALBERT, John ORMAN), John (b. 1833, m. Elizabeth ?),
William Wallace, Stephen D. (b. 1838, m. Frances DOZIER), Mary Foster (b.
1840, m. James N. DENSON), Franklin (b. 1843), Andrew Jackson (b. 1845, d. in
Sharpsburg, MD), Thomas Hugh (b. 1847, m. Elethia DENSON), Robert A. (b. 20
Aug 1849 m. Mary McCABE), Richard Henry (b. 1852, m. Mary A. DENSON).

14. Thomas GILBERT b. 3 Jan 1803, d. 5 Jun 1853. He married Louisa A. GUICE.
15. Louisa A. GUICE (d/o Jonathan GUICE & Ann STUMP) was born 1 Sep 1807, she
died 23 Oct 1898. I have the following children for them: Barbra Salome (b. 12
Nov 1836, m. William Wallace RICHARDSON) & Rashel "Josephine".

Fifth Generation

16. Stephen CHENAULT b. 1 Jan 1767 in Bedford Co, VA, died 9 Apr 1819 in
Hazel Green, AL. He married 23 Oct 1785 in Madison Co, AL to Fanny NELSON.
17. Fanny NELSON (no data available on her parents) was born 6 Jan 1766 in
Bedford Co, VA, she died 16 Nov 1821 in Hazel Green, AL. They had the
following children: Morris (b. 16 Aug 1786), Polly (b. 10 Jun 1788), William
(b. 24 Jan 1791), John Nelson, Stephen (b. 24 Feb 1795, m. Mary HUCHINGSON),
George Washington (b. 9 Feb 1797) & Fanny (b. 19 Jun 1803).

20. William THOMASON b. abt 1770 in Carolina, d. 1859 in Rayville, LA. He
married in 1804 in Georgia to Serina SALMAN.
21. Serina SALMAN (no data available on her parents) was born abt 1784 in
Georgia. They had the following children: John Diamond, Elizabeth Diamond,
Ellie M., Rebecca (m. John WILLIS) & Richard C.

24. Henry LEE b. abt 1779 in NC, d. 1860 in Stewart Co, GA. He married around
1801 in NC to Letitia "Lettie" BRYAN.
25. Letitia "Lettie" BRYAN (no data available on her parents) was born in NC,
d. after 1860. They had the following children: Jordan William (b. 18 Apr
1802, m. Mary Ann STERLING), Henry Bryan, Elizabeth (b. abt 1805, m. William
SPIVEY), Joseph S. (b. 1806, m. Tempy ?), Jesse A. (b. abt 1808, spouse u/k),
Martha (b. 1813, m. William REDMOND), Nathan W. (b. abt 1816, m. Louise
PEARCE), Delphia (b. 1824, m. John ADAMS, W. J. YORK).

26. James LEE died in 1820. He married 26 Jun 1812 in Wilkes Co, GA to Nancy
FOSTER.
27. Nancy FOSTER I don't have any information on her or her parents. They had
the following children: Margaret B., James & David.

30. Jonathan GUICE b. 30 Dec 1746, d. 1828. He married Ann STUMP.
31. Ann STUMP (no data available on her parents) was born 29 Apr 1763, she
died in May 1816. I have only Louisa as a child for them.

Sixth Generation

32. Benjamin CHENAULT b. 1723 in Essex Co, VA, d. 1767 in Bedford Co, VA. He
married Ann ?.
33. Ann ? died in 1767 in Bedford Co, VA. This is all the information I have
on her. I have two children listed for them: Stephen & Rueben.

40. John THOMASON b. abt 1730 in Scotland, d. 13 Aug 1823 in Ashville, AL. He
married in 1768 in Scotland to Elizabeth Diamond BUTE.
41. Elizabeth Diamond BUTE (no data available for her parents) was born in
1739 in Scotland, she died in 1829 in Ashville, AL. They had the following
children: William, Sallie (m. Ruben McCOY), Nellie (m. William MITCHELL), John
Diamond, Elizabeth (m. John BRICKERSTOFF), Matthew Duett, Arnold, Peggy &
Nancy.

52. John LEE. He married Margaret ?.
53. Margaret ? I have only James listed as a child for them.

60. Christopher GUICE b. 24 Jul 1718 in Alsace, Germany. He married Margaret
PLOWHEAD.
61. Margaret PLOWHEAD was born 19 Apr 1725. I have only Jonathan listed as a
child for them.

Seventh Generation

64. Howlett CHENAULT b. 1701 in Essex Co, VA, d. Feb 1738 in Essex Co, VA. He
married Ann ?.
65. Ann ? I have no information about her or her family. I have only Benjamin
listed as a child for them.

Eighth Generation

128. tienne de Cheneau b. 1675 in Longuedoc Province, France, d. 1750 in
Essex Co, VA. He married in 1700 in London, England to Mary Elizabeth HOWLETT.
129. Mary Elizabeth HOWLETT was born in London, England, she died in
Virginia.
