The James Kain Luna-Melissa Sanders post is of interest because of another
twist in that family. I am descended from Edward and Elizabeth (Hendrix)
Hogan, who were married in Lincoln County, Kentucky in 1783. They moved to
Sumner County, Tennessee immediately after their marriage, and in 1805 moved
to the territory that was cut off of Smith and White County to form Warren
County, Tennessee in 1807. Edward Hogan died in 1827. His widow remarried
to Peter Luna, an old friend from Sumner County, and they lived in Marshall
County, Tennessee. Elizabeth (Hendrix) Hogan Luna died in 1848 and Peter
Luna died in 1851.

Peter Luna was the grandfather of James Kain Luna and Elizabeth (Hendrix)
Hogan Luna was the grandmother of Mary Clarissa Hogan, whose father was
Anthony Hogan. One of Elizabeth's other Hogan children was Christiana Hogan
(b. ca. 1790 in Sumner County). Christiana was first married in about 1809
to James Sanders (b. ca. 1786 in Madison County, Kentucky), son of John
Sanders (b. 1754 Lunenburg Co., Va. d. 1833 Wayne Co., Ky.) and Betsy
(Shackleford) Sanders of Madison/Garrard Co., Ky. About the time of Betsy's
death, John Sanders moved to Wayne County, Kentucky, and in 1804 married
there to Sarah (Jones) Buster.

Back to James and Christiana (Hogan) Sanders: They had three children: (1)
Elizabeth Sanders (b. Ky. ca. 1810. m. George Boren) who remained in Warren
County, Tennessee; (2) Lucinda Lockhart Sanders (b. Hopkinsville, Ky. 1811,
m. Archibald Harper Brooks) who moved to Pike Co., Illinois; and my own
ancestor, James C. Sanders (1814-1887, m. Juliann Durham) who lived in Warren
County, Tennessee. After James Sanders died (sometime between 1814 and
1823), Christiana remarried in a Mr. ____ Bean. Her father apparently
disapproved, and the children were raised in the Hogan household in Warren
County. Christiana disappeared. She was effectively disowned in her
father's will (leaving her $1) with her share going to the three Sanders
children.

Does "Melissa Sanders" fit into this puzzle in any way?
What became of Christiana (Hogan) Sanders Bean?

Any information would be helpful.
