I had a bit of good luck today with my "missing" SANDERS line.

Cyrenus SANDERS, who shows up in the 1870 census of Scipio Township,
Allen County, Indiana, which indicates he was born c.1825 in Ohio,
showed up in a Civil War records search!

He served in the 44th Indiana Infantry, which was formed in Fort Wayne
Indiana.

I've contacted Indiana's State Archives and asked for assistance to see
if there are records from enlisting, service, or pension.

Does anyone have a suggestion for how to best go about that?
