Some time ago Irene Palmer contacted me concerning photos of James
Lafayette Sanders (my gg grandfather, born and died in Gibson County,
Tennessee) and Mary Caroline Pounds (my gg grandmother, born and died in
Gibson County, Tennessee). I have a photo of James Lafayette as an old
man (given to me by a cousin at our Sanders family reunion) I'd like to
share with Irene. All attempts to e-mail her privately have failed. Does
anyone know Irene's current e-mail address. Or, Irene, if you're still
monitoring the Sanders list, please e-mail me.

James Lafayette's father was William Lewis Sanders, born 1772 in SC and
his mother was Matilda Mahulda Yarbrough, born in 1817 in ?--some say SC
and some say White County, Tennessee. He had the following siblings:
William Lewis Sanders, Jr, George Washington Sanders, and Martha H. P.
Sanders. William Jr and George were both killed in the Civil War. Would
love to hear from anyone with connections to this branch of the Sanders
family. I have a list of around 600 descendants of Lewis and Mahulda I
would be willing to share.
