We definitely share the same roots. I descend directly from the Joel Sanders + Charity Hollowell line via Marion Co. Indiana, Decatur Tp., Valley Mills families. I have considerable data on various branches and families, and will be happy to share to our mutual benefit.

1. Joel Sanders, born c. 1718 in Cane Creek, New Hanover, NC (or Nansemond Co, VA?), and died 02 Feb 1782 in Columbia/McDuffie Co. GA (Wrightsboro MM). He married Charity Hollowell 1743 in Perquimans Co. NC, daughter of Thomas Hollowell and Sarah Scutchins. She was born c. 1722 in Norfolk, VA (or New Hanover Co. NC?), and died 23 Jan 1782 in Columbia/McDuffie Co. GA (Wrightsboro MM). 13 children identified.
2. Joel Sanders, Jr., born 19 Jun 1751 in New Hanover Co, NC; died 18 Sep 1819 in Caesars Creek, Clinton Co. OH. He married Sarah Morgan c. 1777. She was born c. 1755 in GA, and died 26 Oct 1828 in Caesars Creek, Clinton Co. OH.
3. William Sanders, born 01 Jun 1778 in Wrightsboro MM, McDuffie Co. GA, and died 24 Dec 1841 in Marion Co. IN. He married Amy Williams 11 Sep 1802 in Columbia Co. GA, daughter of Daniel Williams and Mary Humphreys. She was born 30 Jul 1782 in Wrightsboro MM, McDuffie Co. GA, and died 15 Sep 1865 in Marion Co. IN.
4. Joel Sanders (III), born 06 Mar 1814 in Clinton Co. OH (prob.), and died 17 May 1902 in Marion Co. IN. He married (1) Elizabeth Jones. He married (2) Mary Bales 13 Apr 1836 in Morgan Co, IN, daughter of Eleazer Bales and Ester (Unknown). She was born 07 Mar 1816 in NC, and died 23 Oct 1891 in Marion Co. IN (Decatur Tp.). Burial: Easton Cem., West Newton, IN
5. Louzena Townsend Sanders, born 28 Feb 1837 in OH; died 14 Sep 1892 in Marion Co. IN. She married Henry Ault Hoffman 15 Sep 1861 in Marion Co, IN (prob.); born 27 Dec 1831 in Marion Co. IN; died 09 Sep 1904 in Marion Co. IN. Burial: West Newton Cem.
