You just may be my missing link!!! I could not get past Allen Sanders
from NC. When I saw the names on your list there are too many coincidences!!!
My Allen Sanders had 10 children. He was married to a woman named
Marina. The children were: Mary b 1829, David C. b 1831, Nancy b 1833, Benson b
1836. These were born in Georgia. Then there was Moses C. born 1838,
Lorenzo De Calvin (My ggrandfather) born in Tuscaloosa in 1839, Josiah McLean
b 1842, Andrew b; 1844, Martha b 1849, and Albert b 1852.
See how close the families resemble each other. Maranda/Marina and
Ranson/Benson.
My ggrandfather had 16(!) children and the family cemetary is in
Tuscaloosa. It is an old cemetary named Evergreen. There is no headstone for
Allen. Maybe he was buried in another part of Alabama or returned to NC.
Do you know any more about Allen? Or his parents? I can tell you a
little about the sixteen siblings of Lorenzo. My grandfather, James William,
lived in Meridian, Mississippi and my father Robert David, lived in Jackson, then
later Hazlehurst, MS. where we still have the farm. Please let me hear from
you. I live in MS during the winter and upstate New York during the summer.
Thank you. Sheila Sanders
