Subject: [[SAR-TALK]] POW Camps in Nova Scotia
Date: Sat, 13 Dec 2003 00:35:02 EST
The Delaware Society's National Trustee, Steve Leishman, is currently working
in Nova Scotia and heard about some Revolutionary War POW gravesites on McNab
Island in Halifax Harbor. We have some interest in placing an SAR marker on
the graves if possible.
Do any of you out there have any information on POW camps in Nova Scotia
during the Revolution. Does our Patriot Graves CD have information on patriots
buried in or near POW camps? (I have one but am not sure how to search for this
type of information.) As you likely know more U.S. military men lost their
lives in prison camps and ships than on the battlefield.
Thank you.
