Until 1918 the city of Weimar was the capital of the GrDuchy of Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach (which has nothing in common with Koenigreich/Freistaat Sachsen=Saxony, Kingdom or Provinz Sachsen (=Saxony, Province (Prussia)) and is now Thuringia), Central Germany. Grapes are growing not too far away - NorthEast - from Weimar, near Freyburg, along the Saale-Unstrut valleys
