Steve,

I didn't see a reply for your requst but I would suggest you try a search of
the 1880 census at www.familysearch.org.

On the main page, click on the SEARCH tab at the top of the page.
On the next page, click on the word "Census" in the left column.

It's and all-name index so you may be able to find Benjamin's parents.
