Judy,
Just one note: I find a William Cambell in Union County, SC 1790 Census;
also John Camble [1790 Union County] and John Campbell [Union County, SC
1790]. I would guess some of the Campbells moves fron Nintey Six to Union
County, possibly in consequence of difficulties in Nintey Six during the
Rev. War in 1780 ff. Hope this helps. WW
