Billie,

I'm not sure, I'm still stuck with the CARTER's in MS...

I have Selah CARTER m Charles CAMPBELL 9-1-1813 Natchez, Adams Co. MS....
Selah's father is believed to be Vinson CAMPBELL as he lists Charles
CAMPBELL as extr. in his will.
I cannot find where Vinson CARTER came from... he is in Court Records
applying for a land grant... this started in 1803 and was finalized around
1810.
He said he had began cultivating the land the day the Spanish Troops
evacuated the Territory.. He died around Dec. 1830 and I cant find a single
record stating where he was born.... just my luck!!
